So here I am, staring at the blank space and trying to come up with an amazing first post for this blog. Unfortunately, I’m not very good at introductions. Then again, is anybody even going to read this or am I shouting into the void? Anyway, maybe I should just tell you a bit about myself and why I decided to start blogging.
If you ask my parents or friends to name one activity they associate with me, it would be reading. And maybe babbling, ahem. I taught myself how to read when I was 4 and ever since then, I’ve had my nose stuck in a book. Every trip to the local library ended with a pile of new books I couldn’t wait to dive into. As a kid, I loved exploring all these new worlds, meeting new people and going on adventures.
And I still do.
Another thing I like, is writing. Book reports, the mandatory “tell us about your vacation” on the first day of school, or short stories,… You name it, I loved writing them. So it only made sense to combine those passions and turn them into this book blog.
What can you expect here? Book reviews, of course. I mainly read fantasy, Young Adult and historical romance stories, but occasionally I pick up thrillers or contemporary novels. It all depends on my mood and whether a book sounds interesting. And I have a ton of ideas for other posts as well, but I’m not going to spoil the fun here. So you’ll have to wait and see!
But enough about me and this blog, let’s get started with writing about books!
