Rating System

My reviews are always honest. There is no point in writing a positive review for a book I dislike, so I won’t do that. That said, I usually find both good and bad elements about each book and I will list them, because that’s the best way for other people to decide whether they should pick it up.

Now, you’ll probably notice most of my ratings are quite high. I don’t randomly throw around good ratings, it’s just that I mainly choose books that I think I will like. If the genre and synopsis don’t appeal to me, I tend to not read a book. After all, reading is my hobby and I want to enjoy myself.

One final note: reviews are a personal thing. It’s not because I adore (or hate) a book that everyone will share my opinion. Feel free to disagree with me and leave a comment.

How I decide how many stars to give:

★★★★★ – I adore this book and want to hug it! Definitely one to have on your bookshelf

★★★★ – I loved it, but there were a few things that I didn’t like

★★★ – It was okay. Didn’t love it, but didn’t hate it either

★★ – The bad outweighs the good. Maybe get it from a library

★ – Uuuugh, glad I’m done with it
