Sequels I need to catch up on

Hi everyone! How are you doing? What’s the last book you bought? I still have some unread books on my shelves from my last shopping spree, but my fingers are itching to buy some more! And when I do, I’ll probably focus on the series I still need to finish. The amount of first-book-in-the-series novels on my shelves is Extremely. High. So I decided to make a list of all the sequels I want to read soon!

How did I go about this? First, I went through my Goodreads shelves and wrote down all the series I started but didn’t finish yet. Then, I added the book titles for all those sequels. This resulted in a grand total of 143 books (spread out over 74 series) I still need to read… *sobs*

The next step was sorting these series according to priorities, in other words: which ones do I want to read first? And which are the ones I don’t care about that much? If not all books in a series are published yet, I automatically gave that series the lowest priority. This way, I can focus on binge-ing books to cross them off my list. (I’m very strict here, if the series finale will be published next month, I’m still counting them as unfinished and therefore lowest priority)

PS: I’ve reviewed nearly all of the first installments of these series. Take a look at my overview of reviews if you want to know what I thought of them.

This is the resulting list of sequels in complete series:

Which series do you still need to finish? And do you prefer to read new books as they are published, or do you wait for the sequels before you dive in? Let me know in the comments below. Happy reading!
